Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’ll credit my open-ended writing homework as a kid for kicking off a love of storytelling. In my incredible first job, I wrote about King Tut, taste and freegans before honing my AP skills editing a team of staff writers and freelancers. I also hosted a history podcast, which kept me up late Wednesday nights as I found storylines and streamlined my pages of notes. (It also left me with a pretty incredible stamp collection from listeners the world over and a memorable seat on a Dragon Con panel.)

After that, I jumped into healthcare communications, where I met nurses redefining their patients’ hospital experience, covered the first stages of a transformative facilities shift at an early morning site demolition and scooped up an armful of puppies at a service dog training school (best workday ever?). I may have even had a brief stint in a foam, baseball-cap wearing mascot costume.

As a freelance content creator, I’ve stuck to my storytelling instincts, developing exciting, informative copy for healthcare nonprofits, legal services firms, public health organizations, fintech clients and corporate foundations. My background as an editor working with freelancers also means I know what information I need to tell your story.

Core Values

I believe in work that serves a purpose: writing that educates or illuminates. Marketing speak that spins its wheels without reaching a point isn’t my style. I like a story, and I know we can tell one.
